Group EV Charging Solution
Centralized ultra-fast EV charging infrastructure for public, fleet, and high-throughput deployment
Why Group Charging Is Becoming More Strategic
Solution Positioning
At Gletscher Energy, we do not approach EV charging as a standalone charger product. We approach it as infrastructure.
That means designing around site throughput, parking behavior, public and fleet demand patterns, maintenance logic, digital visibility, and long-term expansion. Our Group EV Charging Solution is built for environments where performance, uptime, and deployment discipline matter more than simple charger count.
Turn Parking Into Revenue-Generating EV Infrastructure
A conventional parking slot is a static asset. An EV charging slot can become an active revenue point.
With Gletscher Energy’s ultra-fast charger solution and mobile app platform, parking operators and developers can explore new monetization models through charging fees, digital access, and higher-value bay utilization. In suitable locations and under the right operating conditions, an EV charging slot may generate materially stronger returns than a standard parking space, with the potential for multiple-times higher revenue performance depending on traffic, charging behavior, and pricing structure.
Typical Group EV Charging Applications
Gletscher Energy’s Group EV Charging Solution is relevant to stakeholders planning EV charging as infrastructure rather than as a one-off equipment installation.
Public Parking
Centralized charging for civic sites, public parking assets, and urban mobility infrastructure.
Taxi and Fleet Depots
Smarter charging architecture for fleet dispatch, ride-hailing operations, and high-utilization vehicle turnover.
Bus and Transport
Suitable for urban electric bus operations, airport support fleets, and transport authority charging hubs.
Real Estate Projects
Scalable charging for residential communities, mixed-use developments, and commercial property portfolios.
Core Technical Design Priorities
The system is built around a central power cabinet available in 320 kW, 480 kW, 720 kW, and 960 kW configurations. This cabinet centralizes charging power and supports multiple dispensers from one managed power core.
The cabinet uses 24 × 40 kW power modules, grouped in 80 kW or 40 kW units, allowing charging power to be allocated according to actual vehicle demand. This helps reduce stranded capacity and improve site utilization.
The architecture supports:
- 350 kW / 380 kW fast charging dispensers
- 500 kW / 600 kW liquid-cooled ultra-fast dispensers
- 2 × CCS2 connectors per dispenser
The system is designed for demanding deployment conditions with:
- 200–1000 VDC output
- IP55 complete machine protection
- -30°C to +50°C operating temperature
- 5% to 95% RH non-condensing humidity range
- ≤2000 m altitude suitability
The charging platform supports:
- 7-inch touchscreen HMI
- EtherNet / 4G / Wi-Fi
- OCPP 1.6 / OCPP 2.0.1
- ISO 15118-2
- QR code, RFID card, and Plug and Charge / Auto-Start authentication workflows
Frequently Asked Questions
A group EV charging solution is a centralized DC charging architecture in which one high-capacity power cabinet distributes charging power across multiple dispensers and vehicles. It is designed to improve site throughput, installed-power utilization, and scalability.
Standalone chargers usually dedicate their power electronics to one charger or one bay. Grouped charging centralizes power conversion and allocates output dynamically across multiple charging points, making the site more flexible and efficient.
Gletscher Energy’s Group EV Charging Solution supports cabinet configurations from 320 kW to 960 kW, with fast dispenser outputs of 350 kW and 380 kW, and ultra-fast liquid-cooled dispenser outputs of 500 kW and 600 kW.
Depending on configuration, the system supports up to 12 charging connectors.
The system supports OCPP 1.6, OCPP 2.0.1, ISO 15118-2, and charger-related standards including IEC 61851 and IEC 62196 references.
Yes. The architecture is designed for infrastructure-grade deployment with IP55 protection, high-temperature operating capability up to +50°C, and installation guidance suited to outdoor public and fleet environments.
It is well suited to municipality parking, public charging stations, taxi depots, fleet charging, bus charging, airports, mixed-use developments, residential communities, free zones, logistics hubs, and charging corridor infrastructure.
Dynamic power allocation helps direct charging power where it is needed most, improving site performance under real demand and reducing wasted installed capacity.
It provides cleaner site layout, stronger scalability, centralized maintenance logic, and better fit for larger parking assets and phased EV rollout planning.
Project owners should review site load profile, parking behavior, vehicle mix, dwell time, future expansion plans, dispenser mix, cable routing, grounding, ventilation, and digital platform requirements.
